Where to sleep in Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik’s walled Old Town is not the only place to sleep. Lapad, Gruž and Babin Kuk offer beach-side guesthouse, port-side lodging and camping alternatives. The source warns that private rooms can be far from the walls; a city name alone is insufficient.
Source-adapted starter guide, not independently verified hotel listings. The properties below were named in dated Wikivoyage revisions. We have not checked whether they still operate, their current prices, guest scores or accessibility. Confirm identity, room type, final total and terms directly before paying.
Which part of Dubrovnik fits your trip?
Choose Lapad if the beach-side neighbourhood is part of your trip, Gruž for a port-oriented base with an uphill approach, or Babin Kuk for camping. Compare the return to the Old Town rather than assuming a private room offered at a station is conveniently located.
Lapad and Babin Kuk
The source gives Lapad guesthouse and Babin Kuk campsite leads for stays outside the walls.
Before choosing: Check the route to your beach and the late bus back from the centre.
District source and revisionGruž above the port
The Letizia listing is above the main port with an uphill street approach.
Before choosing: Ask how much climbing and how many steps separate the stop from your room.
District source and revisionThree named places to investigate
These are source-listed leads, not hotels we have contacted, paid placements, current room offers or a score-based ranking. No price, guest rating or availability is asserted. Compare the different areas and ask the property about the exact room and date you need.
Guesthouse Villa Micika Dubrovnik
The Mata Vodopica listing is explicitly a small guesthouse in Lapad.
Verify before booking: Confirm the actual room and current beach route; the source gives differing beach distances.
Read the source listing and revisionCamping Solitudo
The campsite listing gives a Babin Kuk bus approach and notes a central amenity block.
Verify before booking: Check pitch location, walking distance to toilets and groundsheets for dirt or gravel.
Read the source listing and revisionGuest House Letizia
The source places it in Gruž above the city port with shared-kitchen descriptions.
Verify before booking: Confirm the exact address and uphill arrival; a terrace outlook is not guaranteed for every room.
Read the source listing and revisionArrival and getting around
The source describes Libertas buses outside the pedestrian Old Town and stresses stairs within it. Map the luggage approach and current bus return for your exact address. An airport transfer does not eliminate a final climb to a guesthouse.
Routes and hours may change. Check your actual stop, final walk and service with the operator; a source revision date does not verify a present timetable.
